South Salem Saxons Boys Soccer 3-1 West Salem

South Salem boys soccer handed West Salem a 3-1 defeat Monday evening in Salem, Oregon, keeping the Saxons firmly in the hunt inside the 6A-6 Central Valley Conference standings. The Saxons controlled enough of the match to pull away with three goals, while the defense limited the Titans to a single tally in what turned into a comfortable home result. The cross-town rivalry always carries extra weight, and South Salem delivered when it mattered most. With the victory, the Saxons improve to 9-4 overall and 7-2 in conference play, a record that puts them in a strong position as the regular season winds down. Earning a league win against a neighboring rival like West Salem only adds to the significance of where South Salem stands right now. The Saxons will look to build on this momentum as the postseason picture comes into focus over the coming weeks.
