North Salem Vikings Boys Soccer 2-0 Sprague

A clean sheet at home gave North Salem's boys soccer program a much-needed boost Monday, as the Vikings defeated Sprague 2-0 in a 6A-6 Central Valley Conference match played in Salem, Oregon. The shutout victory moves North Salem to 4-6-3 overall and 3-4 in conference play, keeping their postseason hopes alive with limited opportunities remaining on the schedule.

The Vikings controlled the match from the defensive end, denying Sprague any finishing chances while converting twice on the offensive side. Without a detailed box score available, specific goal scorers were not confirmed, but the result speaks to a team that showed up ready to compete on their home pitch.

The win snaps what had been a difficult stretch for North Salem, which entered the game at 3-6-3. Getting three points in league play at this stage of the season is meaningful, as every conference result carries postseason weight in the 6A standings.

North Salem will look to carry this momentum into their remaining league matches as the regular season winds down.
