North Salem Vikings Football 12-49 West Salem

West Salem handed North Salem a tough 49-12 defeat in a Mid-Willamette League football game played Friday night in Salem, Oregon, dropping the Vikings to 2-6 overall and 1-3 in conference play. The Titans controlled the contest from early on, building a commanding lead that North Salem was unable to overcome despite a pair of scoring drives that showed some fight from the Vikings. West Salem's offense proved too much to handle on their home turf, as the 37-point margin reflects a difficult night for North Salem's defense. The Vikings entered the game at 2-5, hoping to build on their lone conference win, but the Titans had other plans. North Salem now faces a challenging stretch to close out the regular season, with each remaining game carrying added weight in the league standings. The Vikings will look to bounce back and finish strong, giving players and coaches something to build on heading into the offseason.
