Central Panthers Girls Volleyball 3-1 Scappoose

Central's girls volleyball team picked up another convincing win Thursday evening, defeating Scappoose 3-1 in a non-league home match in Independence, Oregon. The Panthers, members of the Mid-Willamette Conference (5A), improved to 6-0 on the season with the victory, remaining one of the area's unbeaten teams through the early weeks of fall play. Scappoose made things competitive, pushing the match to four sets, but Central ultimately controlled enough of the action to secure the win on its home floor. Non-league matches like this one offer valuable preparation against outside competition before conference play intensifies, and Central has used that opportunity well, dropping just one set while winning three to close out the contest. With an unblemished record and momentum building at home, the Panthers have established themselves as a team to watch in the Mid-Willamette Conference this season. Central returns to action next week looking to continue its strong start.
