Central Panthers Girls Volleyball 3-0 Newport

Central's girls volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 sweep at Newport on Tuesday, adding another road win to what has been a strong fall for the Panthers out of Independence, Oregon. The 4A-3 Oregon West Conference program has now won three straight, pushing its record to 17-2 on the season with the non-league victory. Traveling to the coast is never a simple task, and handling business in straight sets against the Cubs speaks to the consistency Central has shown throughout October. The Panthers entered the match at 16-2, already one of the more impressive records in Class 4A, and they did nothing to slow their momentum. Without a detailed box score available, the 3-0 margin tells its own story, a composed, efficient performance from a team that appears to be peaking at the right time of year. Central will look to carry that rhythm into the final stretch of the regular season as postseason positioning comes into focus.
