Woodburn Bulldogs Boys Soccer 5-0 Hillsboro

A dominant shutout lifted Woodburn's boys soccer program Tuesday night, as the Bulldogs rolled past Hillsboro 5-0 in a Mid-Willamette Conference (5A) league match played in Woodburn, Oregon. The convincing win snapped a difficult stretch for Woodburn, which entered the evening sitting at 3-7-1 on the season and in need of a confidence boost heading into the final stretch of the fall schedule. The Bulldogs delivered emphatically, putting five goals past the Hillsboro backline while keeping a clean sheet on their home pitch. The result moves Woodburn to 4-7-1 overall and 1-2 in conference play. While the conference standings remain a climb, a five-goal performance shows the offensive firepower is there when the team gets rolling. Home crowds in Woodburn have waited for a night like this, and Tuesday provided exactly that. The Bulldogs will look to carry that momentum forward as they continue league play in the coming days.
