Woodburn Bulldogs Boys Soccer 2-0 Aloha

A clean sheet at home moved Woodburn boys soccer back into winning territory Thursday, as the Bulldogs defeated Aloha 2-0 in a 5A-2 Greater Metro Conference matchup in Woodburn, Oregon. The shutout victory pushed Woodburn to 6-7-1 overall and 3-2 in league play, a meaningful step forward for a squad that entered the evening sitting at 5-7-1. Holding Aloha scoreless gave the Bulldogs a confidence-building result at a point in the season when every conference game carries added weight. Woodburn found the net twice and kept its defensive shape throughout, denying the visitors any real chance to get on the board. With the Greater Metro Conference race still unfolding, the Bulldogs will need performances like this one to position themselves favorably as the regular season winds toward its close. Woodburn returns to action next week with a chance to build on Thursday's momentum and continue climbing the conference standings.
