Sprague Olympians Boys Soccer 1-1 McNary

A late-season stalemate gave Sprague boys soccer a share of the points Thursday night, as the Olympians and McNary played to a 1-1 tie in a Central Valley Conference (6A) league match hosted in Salem, Oregon. The result moves Sprague to 1-10-1 overall and 1-6 in conference play. With the season winding down and wins hard to come by, holding McNary to a draw on home turf represented a hard-earned moment for this Sprague squad. McNary entered as a tough conference opponent, making the point all the more meaningful for the Olympians and their supporters in the stands. Neither side could find a decisive second goal, and the teams split the result in what turned out to be a competitive and physical contest. Sprague will look to carry the momentum of this performance into their remaining matches, hoping to close out the fall season on a positive note and build confidence heading into the offseason.
