South Salem Saxons Girls Soccer 2-2 McNary

A hard-fought Monday night ended level at Hawk Stadium in Salem, Oregon, as South Salem's girls soccer team and McNary played to a 2-2 draw in Central Valley Conference (6A) action. Neither side could claim the victory, but South Salem found a way to avoid defeat in a league match that carried real playoff implications for both programs. The Saxons scored twice and showed enough fight to claw back into the contest at least once, keeping a clean result within reach until the final whistle. The draw moves South Salem to 4-5-2 overall and, notably, 4-1 in conference play, a mark that keeps the Saxons in a strong position in the CVC standings as the postseason window approaches. McNary, a rival from Keizer, remains a measuring-stick opponent in this league, making the point earned here meaningful. South Salem will look to build on that conference standing when they return to action later this week.
