South Salem Saxons Girls Soccer 2-0 West Salem

South Salem's girls soccer team picked up a clean sheet on the road Monday, defeating rival West Salem 2-0 in a 6A-6 Central Valley Conference matchup in Salem, Oregon. The win moves the Saxons to 6-5-2 overall and a strong 6-1 in conference play, keeping them firmly in the mix as the league race heads toward its final stretch. Playing away from home against a familiar crosstown opponent, South Salem found the net twice and held West Salem off the scoreboard throughout, a result that speaks to the defensive discipline the Saxons have shown in league competition this fall. The victory is a meaningful one given the postseason implications at stake in the Central Valley Conference standings. South Salem will look to carry this momentum into its remaining regular-season matches, knowing that every conference result now carries added weight. Keep an eye on the Saxons as they push toward a strong finish and a potential postseason run.
