Silverton Foxes Boys Soccer 1-0 West Albany

A single goal was all Silverton needed Tuesday, as the Foxes boys soccer team shut out West Albany 1-0 in a 5A-3 Mid-Willamette Conference home match in Silverton, Oregon. The clean sheet victory moved Silverton to 7-4 overall and a perfect 2-0 in league play, a promising foothold as the conference standings begin to tighten heading toward the postseason stretch.

Defense carried the day for the Foxes, who kept the Bulldogs off the scoreboard for the full 80 minutes. With the margin as slim as it gets in soccer, every defensive clearance and goalkeeper save carried weight, and Silverton delivered when it mattered.

The win adds genuine momentum to a squad that entered the night sitting at 6-4. Back-to-back league wins signal that the Foxes are finding their footing at the right time of year. Silverton will look to build on this result and continue climbing in the Mid-Willamette Conference standings in the coming weeks.
