Silverton Foxes Baseball 12-8 Lebanon
The bats came alive at Silverton High School on Friday as the Foxes outlasted Lebanon 12-8 in a wild baseball shootout that featured 20 runs and plenty of momentum swings.
Silverton's offense found its rhythm early and never let up, collecting enough hits to support their pitching staff through several tense innings. The Foxes weathered Lebanon's late-game rallies to secure their most important league victory of the spring.
The win moves Silverton to 8-9 overall and 7-6 in conference play, keeping their postseason hopes very much alive with just a few games remaining in the regular season. After struggling through a difficult start to the year, the Foxes have found their footing at exactly the right time.
Friday's offensive explosion demonstrated the potential this Silverton lineup has been building toward all season. When the bats are clicking like they were against Lebanon, the Foxes become a dangerous opponent for anyone.
Silverton will look to build on this momentum as they head into the final stretch of league play.
