Salem Academy Crusaders Girls Soccer 5-0 Gervais / Kennedy

A dominant shutout performance lifted Salem Academy's girls soccer team to a 5-0 victory over Gervais/Kennedy on Friday evening at home in Salem, Oregon, improving the Crusaders to 8-3 on the season. The PacWest Conference (3A) squad controlled the match from start to finish, keeping the visiting Cougars off the scoreboard entirely and demonstrating the kind of defensive cohesion that can make a team dangerous heading into the later stages of the fall schedule. While no detailed box score was available, the five-goal margin tells a clear story of an offense that created consistent chances and a backline that gave their goalkeeper little trouble. The non-league result comes as Salem Academy sits at 2-2 in conference play, a mark that leaves plenty of room for the Crusaders to make their case in the PacWest standings. Salem Academy will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup as the regular season winds toward its final weeks.
