North Salem Vikings Girls Soccer 4-1 McKay

North Salem's girls soccer team picked up a convincing league victory Thursday evening, defeating crosstown rival McKay 4-1 at home in Salem, Oregon, in a 6A-6 Central Valley Conference matchup. The Vikings controlled the match from the start, scoring four times to hand McKay a decisive defeat and snap what had been a difficult stretch of results. The 4-1 final reflected North Salem's dominance on the night, giving the squad a much-needed boost heading into the final weeks of the fall season. With the win, North Salem improves to 5-8-1 overall and 2-8 in conference play. While the standings remain a challenge, Thursday's performance showed that the Vikings are capable of putting together a complete game when it matters. The energy of playing at home in front of their supporters clearly played a role. North Salem will look to carry this momentum forward as they close out their 2026 season and look to finish strong in conference competition.
