McKay Royal Scots Football 24-14 Parkrose

A 10-point victory put McKay football in the win column Friday night, as the Royal Scots defeated Parkrose 24-14 at home in Salem, Oregon, in Mid-Willamette Conference (5A) play. The win snaps a difficult stretch for McKay, which came in at 0-5 before finally breaking through against the Broncos. McKay controlled enough of the game to keep Parkrose at bay, holding the visitors to 14 points while putting together a 24-point effort on their home field. The Royal Scots improve to 1-5 overall and 1-1 in conference play with the result. It is the kind of performance that can shift momentum heading into the back half of the season. McKay will look to carry that confidence forward and build on Friday's showing as league competition intensifies in the weeks ahead. The Royal Scots return to action next week with a chance to move above .500 in conference standings.
