McKay Royal Scots Boys Soccer 2-1 South Salem

A pair of goals on the road gave McKay a 2-1 boys soccer victory over South Salem on Monday evening, a Mid-Willamette Conference (5A) matchup played in Salem, Oregon. The win pushed the Royal Scots to 7-2-1 on the season and 4-1 in league play, keeping them firmly in the conference title conversation as the regular season moves toward its final stretch. Playing away from home against a rival is never easy, and picking up three points in that setting speaks to the resilience this group has shown through a competitive schedule. McKay entered the night at 6-2-1 and needed a result to stay within striking distance at the top of the standings. They got it, grinding out a one-goal margin that held through the final whistle. Up next, the Royal Scots will look to carry that momentum into their next league match and continue building a case for a strong postseason run.
