Stayton Eagles Softball 2-4 Cascade

A late rally wasn't enough to lift the Eagles past visiting Cascade on Tuesday evening. Stayton softball battled hard but fell 4-2 in Oregon West Conference action at home in Stayton, Oregon.

The Eagles found themselves trailing early but managed to scratch across two runs to keep pace with the Cougars. Despite solid defensive play and clutch hitting when opportunities arose, Stayton couldn't quite close the gap against a determined Cascade squad.

The loss moves the Eagles to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play as they continue working to find their rhythm in the 4A Oregon West Conference. While the scoreboard didn't reflect their effort, the Eagles showed improved execution in several key moments that should serve them well moving forward.

Coach and players alike remain focused on the process of building chemistry and consistency as league play continues. The Eagles will look to bounce back when they return to action, with several conference games remaining to establish momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
