Cascade Cougars Girls Volleyball 3-1 Astoria

Cascade's volleyball team picked up a road win Tuesday night, defeating Astoria 3-1 in a non-league matchup played on the Fishermen's home floor. The Cubs, based in Turner, Oregon, and members of the Oregon West Conference (4A), improved to 5-3 on the season with the victory. Traveling to the Oregon coast is never easy, and earning a set-winning margin against a host program on its home court speaks to the focus the Cubs brought into the match. Cascade dropped one set along the way, a reminder that Astoria pushed back and made them work for every point. Still, the Cubs responded when it mattered, closing out the match and securing three sets to the Fishermen's one. With the win, Cascade carries some positive momentum out of this mid-September stretch. The Cubs will look to build on this performance as league play continues to take shape and conference standings come into clearer focus in the weeks ahead.
