Cascade Cougars Girls Volleyball 3-1 Philomath

Cascade volleyball picked up a convincing 3-1 victory over Philomath on Thursday evening at home in Turner, Oregon, giving the Oregon West Conference (4A) program a needed boost heading into the back half of the season. The Cubs controlled enough of the match to take three sets, dropping just one to the Warriors in what shaped up as a competitive non-league contest. The win moves Cascade to 7-5 on the year, a mark that reflects a team steadily finding its footing after a .500 start to the fall. Non-league results carry no conference weight, but the timing matters. Picking up a win against an outside opponent builds momentum and gives the coaching staff a chance to evaluate depth and rotations before league play intensifies. The Cubs will look to carry this confidence into their next outing as the October stretch of the schedule approaches. Keep an eye on Cascade as they push toward the postseason picture in the weeks ahead.
