Central Panthers Girls Soccer 0-8 Cascade

Cascade handed Central a difficult night on the pitch Thursday, handing the Panthers an 8-0 loss in Mid-Willamette Conference (5A) girls soccer play. The Panthers, based in Independence, Oregon, traveled to face Cascade in what was Central's first league match of the 2026 fall season. The Cougars controlled the match from the opening whistle, finishing with eight unanswered goals against a Central side that has faced stiff competition through the early weeks of the season. The shutout loss dropped Central to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in conference play. Despite the lopsided result, the Panthers are still in the early stages of their league schedule, with opportunities ahead to find their footing in conference competition. Central will look to regroup and build on the experience gained from Thursday's road test as the Mid-Willamette Conference slate continues.
