Seven runs proved to be the difference as Woodburn baseball rolled past McKay 9-2 Tuesday evening at home. The Bulldogs put together their most complete performance in weeks, controlling the Mid-Willamette Conference (5A) matchup from Woodburn, Oregon throughout.

Woodburn jumped ahead early and never looked back, building a commanding lead that allowed them to cruise to victory. The offensive explosion was a welcome sight for a team that has battled consistency issues this spring.

The win moves Woodburn to 4-15 overall and 3-14 in conference play, providing a bright spot as the regular season winds down. McKay struggled to generate sustained rallies against effective Bulldogs pitching that limited scoring opportunities.

With the victory, Woodburn showed flashes of the potential that could serve them well heading into the final stretch. The seven-run margin represented one of their most decisive wins of the campaign.

The Bulldogs will look to build on this momentum as they prepare for their remaining conference games, hoping to finish the season on a positive note.
