West Salem Titans Girls Soccer 3-2 McKay

West Salem picked up a hard-earned 3-2 road victory over McKay in Central Valley Conference (6A) girls soccer on Thursday, a result that carries genuine weight for the Salem, Oregon program as the regular season winds down. The Titans trailed just enough to make it interesting but found the answers they needed to pull away from a McKay side that pushed them to the final whistle. The win moves West Salem to 4-8 overall and 4-4 in conference play, putting them right in the thick of the league picture with the postseason on the horizon. Road wins against a rival are rarely clean affairs, and Thursday's narrow margin reflects just how competitive the CVC has been top to bottom this fall. For a Titans squad that has been building through some adversity this season, a result like this one could serve as a real confidence boost. West Salem will look to carry the momentum forward as they close out the final stretch of the regular season.
