West Salem Titans Boys Soccer 3-1 North Salem

Three goals were enough for West Salem to claim a 3-1 victory over rival North Salem in a Central Valley Conference (6A) boys soccer match played Monday in Salem, Oregon. The win moves the Titans to 7-3-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play, keeping them firmly in the hunt for a league title as the regular season winds down. North Salem made things interesting by finding the back of the net once, but West Salem's offense proved the difference, generating enough quality chances to build and protect a multi-goal lead throughout the match. The victory also carries extra weight as a rivalry win, with both programs drawing from the same city and competing for the same local bragging rights year after year. With the Titans now five games above the .500 mark in league play, a strong postseason seeding looks well within reach. West Salem will look to build on this momentum when they return to action later this week.
