Stayton Eagles Girls Volleyball 3-1 Philomath

Stayton's volleyball team picked up a statement road victory Thursday night, defeating Philomath 3-1 in an Oregon West Conference (4A) matchup that keeps the Eagles from Stayton, Oregon, rolling through league play. The win improves Stayton to 12-2 overall and a spotless 5-0 in conference, establishing the Eagles as one of the clear frontrunners in the OWC this fall.

Traveling to Philomath is never a simple task, and dropping just one set on the road speaks to the Eagles' depth and composure under pressure. Stayton controlled the tempo for much of the evening, and while Philomath battled back to take a set, the Eagles consistently responded when it mattered most.

With the regular season entering its final stretch, Stayton's undefeated conference record positions the team well for a strong postseason run. The Eagles will look to keep that momentum going as league competition stiffens in the coming weeks.
