Stayton Eagles Girls Volleyball 3-1 Cascade

Stayton volleyball swept past Cascade in four sets Tuesday night, winning 3-1 to remain unbeaten in Oregon West Conference (4A) play. The Eagles, playing at home in Stayton, Oregon, improved to 11-2 overall and a perfect 4-0 in league action with the victory. Cascade came in looking to slow down a Stayton squad that had won nine of its last ten matches entering the night, but the Eagles answered the challenge and continued their strong run through the conference schedule. Dropping just one set kept things honest, but Stayton controlled enough of the match to pull away and secure the win without much doubt about the outcome. The result keeps the Eagles at the top of the Oregon West standings and positions them well as the back half of the regular season approaches. Stayton will look to build on the momentum when league play continues later this week.
