Stayton Eagles Girls Volleyball 3-2 Taft

Stayton volleyball earned a hard-fought road win Thursday, defeating Taft 3-2 in a five-set match to open Oregon West Conference (4A) play. The Eagles, based in Stayton, Oregon, made the trip to Taft's gym and gutted out the victory after dropping sets along the way, demonstrating the kind of resilience that defines a competitive team in the thick of a league schedule. The win moves Stayton to 8-2 overall on the season and 1-0 in conference play, a strong position heading into the weeks ahead. Opening league with a road win in five sets is no small feat, and the Eagles showed they can compete when a match extends deep and momentum shifts. With conference standings beginning to take shape, Stayton will look to build on this performance and carry that road toughness back home. The Eagles' next match will be an early opportunity to stack another league result and solidify their standing in the Oregon West Conference.
