Stayton Eagles Boys Soccer 8-0 Taft

Eight goals on the road told the story Tuesday as Stayton boys soccer handed Taft a decisive 8-0 defeat in Oregon West Conference (4A) league play in Lincoln City. The Eagles from Stayton, Oregon, dominated from start to finish, adding an impressive road win to what has become one of the stronger résumés in the conference this fall. The lopsided margin reflected a Stayton squad operating with confidence and depth, controlling possession and converting opportunities throughout the match. With the victory, the Eagles improve to 9-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play, keeping them firmly in the hunt as the Oregon West schedule heads toward its final stretch. The shutout also underscored the team's defensive consistency, a quality that has defined much of their season alongside an offense capable of producing big numbers on any given night. Stayton will look to build on this momentum as postseason positioning inches closer with each passing week.
