Sprague Olympians Football 31-14 West Salem

The Sprague Olympians delivered a statement performance Friday night, rolling past West Salem 31-14 in a dominant showing that snapped the program back into the win column. It was the kind of game Sprague needed, a complete effort on both sides of the ball that had the home crowd on their feet and the Olympians feeling good heading into the meat of their schedule.

Sprague controlled the contest from early on, building a lead that West Salem simply couldn't chip away at. The Olympians' offense moved the ball with purpose while the defense made life miserable for the Titans all night long. A 31-14 final score doesn't always tell the full story, but in this case, it's pretty accurate. Sprague was the better team and played like it.

With the convincing victory, the Olympians improve to 2-3 on the season. It's not where they want to be, but a win this convincing over a conference opponent is the kind of momentum builder that can turn a season around. West Salem came in with something to prove, and Sprague answered every challenge. If the Olympians can carry this energy forward, the second half of their schedule is looking a lot more interesting.
