South Salem Saxons Girls Volleyball 3-0 Lake Oswego

South Salem's volleyball team closed out October with a clean sweep, defeating Lake Oswego 3-0 on Saturday night at home in Salem, Oregon. The Saxons, members of the 6A-6 Central Valley Conference, handled the non-league matchup from start to finish, never dropping a set against the Lakers. South Salem entered the match at 17-4 on the season and improved to 18-4 with the victory, a strong late-season statement heading into the final stretch of the fall schedule. The three-set sweep kept the Saxons playing efficient volleyball, avoiding any prolonged battles that could wear on a roster still working toward postseason positioning. Lake Oswego made the trip south from the Portland metro area, but South Salem's home crowd gave the Saxons an extra lift on a Halloween evening. With the regular season winding down, South Salem will look to carry this momentum into upcoming conference play and any potential playoff push that follows.
