Silverton Foxes Football 14-17 Dallas

Dallas edged Silverton 17-14 in a tight Mid-Willamette Conference (5A) football game Friday night, handing the Foxes from Silverton, Oregon their second loss of the season on the road. The three-point defeat stings for a Silverton squad that entered the night at 5-1 and looking to tighten its grip on the conference standings. Instead, the Foxes drop to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in league play after absorbing a gut-check loss to the Dragons. With no detailed box score available, the final margin tells much of the story. A two-score swing in either direction could have changed the outcome entirely, and Silverton kept it close enough to make it matter right to the end. The Foxes remain in the mix for a playoff spot despite the setback, but the Mid-Willamette Conference race just got more complicated. Silverton will look to bounce back next week and protect its spot in the postseason picture.
