South Salem Saxons Softball 4-15 Centennial
The bats couldn't get going for South Salem in Monday's non-league softball contest at Centennial, as the Saxons fell 15-4 to extend their winless start to the season.
Centennial jumped out to an early advantage and never looked back, putting together multiple big innings while the Saxons struggled to string together consistent offense. South Salem managed four runs but couldn't match the Eagles' offensive output in the lopsided affair.
The loss drops the Saxons to 0-4 on the young season as they continue searching for their first victory of 2026. While the scoreboard wasn't kind to South Salem, the team showed flashes of potential that could build momentum moving forward.
With conference play still ahead, the Saxons have time to find their rhythm both at the plate and in the field. The early struggles provide valuable learning opportunities for a team that will look to bounce back quickly.
South Salem returns home for their next contest as they work toward that elusive first win of the spring campaign.
