Salem Academy Crusaders Boys Soccer 8-0 Amity

Eight goals and a clean sheet told the story Tuesday as Salem Academy boys soccer dominated Amity 8-0 in a PacWest Conference (3A) league match played in Salem, Oregon. The Crusaders controlled the contest from start to finish, putting up one of the more lopsided margins of the fall season. The victory moves Salem Academy to 6-2-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play, a result that adds some breathing room as the league standings tighten heading toward the postseason. Amity had no answer for the Crusaders' attack, and the back line held firm throughout to secure the shutout. For a team sitting at 5-2-2 entering the match, getting a convincing win and a full three points in league competition is exactly the kind of momentum-builder Salem Academy needed. The Crusaders will look to carry that energy into their next matchup as conference seeding races toward its final weeks.
