McKay Royal Scots Girls Soccer 1-4 North Salem

North Salem handed McKay a 4-1 defeat in a 6A-6 Central Valley Conference girls soccer match played Thursday evening in Salem, Oregon. The Vikings controlled the match from early on, building a lead that the Royal Scots were unable to overcome on the road. McKay managed to find the back of the net once, a bright spot in an otherwise difficult night against a tough North Salem side. The loss drops McKay to 1-13 overall and 0-10 in conference play as the regular season winds toward its close. The Royal Scots have faced a challenging schedule throughout the fall, and Thursday's result continues a difficult stretch against league competition. Despite the numbers, the program continues to gain experience in a competitive conference that regularly produces playoff-caliber teams. McKay will look to close out the remaining matches with effort and build momentum heading into the offseason, giving younger players valuable time to grow before next year's campaign begins.
