Dallas Dragons Baseball 0-4 Summit
Dallas couldn't solve Summit's pitching in their baseball season opener Tuesday, falling 4-0 at home in a non-league contest that highlighted areas for early-season improvement.
The Dragons managed limited offensive production against a disciplined Summit squad that capitalized on their scoring opportunities throughout the game. Dallas pitchers kept the team within striking distance for much of the contest, but Summit's four-run output proved insurmountable.
The shutout loss drops Dallas to 0-1 to start the campaign, though non-league games often serve as valuable measuring sticks early in the season. Head coach and players will have plenty of film to review as they work to iron out the offensive struggles that plagued them against Summit.
With league play still weeks away, Dallas has time to build chemistry and refine their approach at the plate. The Dragons will look to bounce back quickly and notch their first win of the season in upcoming contests. Early season growing pains are common, and this young Dallas squad has ample opportunity to develop as the schedule progresses.
