Dallas Dragons Girls Volleyball 2-3 Willamette

Willamette defeated Dallas 3-2 in a five-set non-league girls volleyball match Saturday, handing the Dragons a tough opening-night loss to begin the 2026 fall season. Dallas, which competes in the Mid-Willamette Conference (5A), made the road trip to face Willamette in what turned out to be a closely contested battle from start to finish. The Dragons pushed the match to a full five sets, showing they could compete with a quality opponent despite the result. There is no shame in a hard-fought 3-2 match on the road in the first game of the year, and the experience of playing under pressure in a close match could prove valuable as conference play approaches. Dallas drops to 0-1 on the season with the loss. The Dragons will look to bounce back and earn their first win of the year when they return to the court in the coming week.
