Dallas Dragons Boys Soccer 1-7 Thurston

Thurston handed Dallas a 7-1 defeat Tuesday night in a non-league boys soccer match played in Springfield, dropping the Dragons to 0-5 on the season. Dallas, a Mid-Willamette Conference (5A) program based in Dallas, Oregon, made the road trip looking to find its footing after a difficult early stretch, but the Colts proved too much to handle from the opening whistle. Thurston controlled the tempo for much of the night, building a commanding lead that the Dragons were unable to overcome. Dallas did find the back of the net once, showing the group can generate offense even in a lopsided contest, and that moment of quality gives the coaching staff something to build on. Non-league matchups against stronger competition can serve as valuable measuring sticks, even when the final score is not in your favor.
