Cascade Cougars Girls Soccer 8-0 Central

Cascade's girls soccer team delivered a dominant performance Tuesday, shutting out Central 8-0 on the road to pick up a big Oregon West Conference (4A) victory. The Cougars, based in Turner, Oregon, made the trip to Central's home ground and left no doubt, controlling the match from start to finish with an eight-goal outburst and a clean sheet on the defensive end. The lopsided result moves Cascade to 6-4-1 overall and 4-2 in conference play, a strong bounce-back showing for a squad that entered the evening at 5-4-1. With the playoffs on the horizon, Tuesday's performance is exactly the kind of momentum a team wants heading into the final stretch of the regular season. The Cougars will look to build on this convincing road result and keep climbing in the Oregon West standings as postseason positioning comes into sharper focus in the coming weeks.
