Blanchet Catholic School Cavaliers Softball 2-18 Vernonia
Blanchet Catholic couldn't keep pace with Vernonia's explosive offense Sunday, falling 28-17 in a high-scoring non-league softball clash on the road. Despite putting up 17 runs of their own, the Cavaliers were unable to match the Logger attack that proved too much to handle.
The game featured plenty of offensive fireworks from both sides, with 45 total runs crossing the plate. Blanchet Catholic showed they could generate offense against quality pitching, reaching double digits for one of their better offensive performances of the season.
However, defensive struggles continued to plague the Cavaliers as Vernonia capitalized on scoring opportunities throughout the contest. The loss drops Blanchet Catholic to 0-9 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
With several games remaining in the spring season, the Cavaliers will look to build on the offensive production they showed against the Loggers. The team returns home for their next contest as they continue working toward their first victory of the 2026 campaign.
